Young attacker departs Hartlepool United on loan

Young attacker Max Storey has joined Blyth Spartans on a season-long loan deal for the 2024/25 campaign.

The 18-year-old, who signed his first professional contract with Pools in May, has made four pre-season appearances for Darren Sarll’s side.

Storey will gain further senior experience with Blyth Spartans in the Northern Premier League this season.

The club wishes Max the best of luck during his loan spell.

Head of Football Operations, Joe Monks, explained:

“Max’s loan move is crucial for the next stage of his development. He has done very well to reach the point of becoming a professional footballer, graduating from the academy set-up.

“His move to Blyth allows him to apply his technical ability to senior football at a good level. This is the next step in his development, continuing to train daily with our first team while showcasing his skills in the Northern Premier League.

“We will monitor his progress and can recall him at any point if Darren Sarll deems him ready to play in our first team.”
