Louisville Leading the Pack for Four-Star Wing Anthony Felesi
The University of Louisville appears to be in a strong position to land one of the top prospects in the 2026 basketball class. Four-star wing Anthony Felesi, a standout at Utah Prep, has named Louisville as the current leader in his recruitment.
Louisville head coach Pat Kelsey first discovered Felesi last fall during a visit to see 2025 point guard JJ Mandaquit. While observing Mandaquit’s workout, Kelsey noticed Felesi’s potential and extended a scholarship offer on the spot. Since then, the Cardinals have made the 6-foot-5 wing a top priority.
“They’ve been the most consistent school in my recruitment,” Felesi said during an interview at the Nike Peach Jam. “Coach Kelsey is great—super high energy, and I really feed off that. Coach [Ronnie] Hamilton texts me every day. They’ve been awesome.”
Felesi, who has drawn interest from more than 20 programs, said he watched Louisville closely this past season under Kelsey and believes their style of play suits his game. “I like how they play up-tempo and get out in transition,” he said. “Coach Kelsey runs a good offense, but they also take defense seriously.”
He has yet to schedule official visits but confirmed he plans to visit Louisville in late August or early September. Other schools in the mix include UCLA, USC, Oregon, Creighton, and Kentucky. Felesi expects to take more than five visits overall, noting that he’s “just going with the flow for now.”
On the court, Felesi is known for his all-around game and high motor. At Peach Jam, he averaged 13.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 2.1 steals, and 1.5 blocks per game over five contests. Coaches are drawn to his versatility and effort on both ends of the floor.
“I just want to win, and I’ll do whatever that takes,” he said. “If I need to take zero shots for us to win, I’ll do it. I think coaches like my energy and how I can do a bit of everything.”
Felesi also credits his development to playing alongside top talent at Utah Prep, including JJ Mandaquit and No. 1 2025 recruit AJ Dybantsa. “Those guys are elite, and I learned a ton from them—both on and off the court,” he added.
According to 247Sports, Felesi is ranked No. 46 nationally, No. 19 among small forwards, and is the No. 2 player in Utah for the 2026 class.
