JUST IN: Eastleigh Football Club have completed another signing of the summer

Eastleigh Football Club is thrilled to announce the acquisition of Richard Brindley following his departure from Notts County.

The 31-year-old defender has been a mainstay at Notts County since 2019, notably contributing to their promotion to the football league in the 2022/23 season.

Brindley, who hails from Norwich, began his football journey in Norwich City’s academy, where he spent nine formative years before signing his first professional contract with the club in 2011.

His career then took him to Chelmsford City in 2012, followed by a stint at Chesterfield.

After a brief period with Chesterfield, Brindley moved to Rotherham United, where he enjoyed two productive years, featuring prominently in both the Championship and League One.

After an impressive loan stint at Colchester United during the 2014/15 season, Brindley secured a permanent transfer to the club, where he remained for two years.

Following his time at Colchester, he spent a season at Barnet and another at Bromley before joining Notts County.

Speaking upon his arrival at the Spitfires, Brindley expressed his satisfaction, stating, “I’m thrilled! The deal is finalized, and I’m eager to get started!”
