Former Pro Bowl safety Jamal Adams is joining the Las Vegas Raiders, reuniting with head coach Pete Carroll just before training camp begins.
Adams previously played under Carroll for four seasons with the Seattle Seahawks. The 2023 season was their last together in Seattle, with Carroll stepping down as head coach and Adams being released shortly after.
Over his nine-year NFL career, Adams has played for several teams, including the Seahawks, Detroit Lions, Tennessee Titans, and New York Jets, who drafted him sixth overall in 2017.
Adams had a brief stint with the Lions last season, initially joining their practice squad due to injuries on the team. He was promoted to the active roster in Week 14 and played two games before being released on New Year’s Day.
Throughout his career, Adams has earned three Pro Bowl selections and three All-Pro honors, including one First-team recognition.
