Bills CB Christian Benford to Release Coloring Book for Children
Buffalo Bills cornerback Christian Benford is expanding his work as a children’s author. After publishing his debut book Stylish Safari: The Adventures of Being You last month, Benford is now preparing to release a coloring book version on April 22.
The new edition is designed to let children express their creativity while reading. “I just wanted kids to have their own creativity,” Benford explained. “I’ve always believed in staying true to who you are and doing what makes you happy, not just following others.”
The story features a character named Benny the Bobcat and combines Benford’s love for fashion with an adventurous narrative meant to inspire confidence and individuality in young readers. The book can be purchased through Barnes & Noble or directly from Benford’s website.
Illustrations for the book were created by his sister, Jewel Benford. “She’s incredibly talented,” Benford added.
Benford follows in the footsteps of another Bills cornerback, Ja’Marcus Ingram, who also authored a children’s book, released last winter.
