The Buffalo Bills may have found their next Matt Milano in a prospect expected to enter the 2026 NFL Draft. Although the 2025 season is approaching, and the focus remains on the current roster, the Bills’ management led by Brandon Beane will already be scouting college players for the next draft. While the team revamped its defense heavily last offseason, it wouldn’t be surprising if they continue to target linebackers next year, despite the possibility of focusing more on offense.
Matt Milano, a fifth-round pick from Boston College in 2017, has been a cornerstone of the Bills’ defense and one of the best draft finds under coach Sean McDermott. Unfortunately, injuries, including two major ones since 2023, have hampered his performance. The Bills and Milano recently agreed to restructure his contract with incentives, but he will enter a contract year in 2025. Unless Milano has an outstanding season, 2025 might be his final year with Buffalo.
If Milano does leave after the 2025 season, the Bills will need to find a replacement or at least add competition for linebacker Dorian Williams. One player to watch this college season is BYU linebacker Isaiah Glasker. Bleacher Report’s Damian Parson recently highlighted Glasker as a promising 2026 NFL Draft candidate who could emerge as a top player in 2025 and would fit well as Milano’s potential successor.
Glasker stands out as an athletic linebacker with exceptional instincts and anticipation. Last year, he recorded 15 tackles for loss and 42 solo tackles. His ability to play zone coverage and create turnovers makes him a versatile and dynamic defender. Given the right environment, Glasker could develop into a highly successful NFL player.
If Buffalo drafts him, Glasker would have the opportunity to grow alongside Terrel Bernard, one of the league’s top young linebackers. Together, they could form a formidable linebacker group, with Glasker possibly becoming an even more explosive player than Milano was during his prime.
