Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen, who has been with the team since being drafted in 2018, has helped lead the franchise to two AFC Championship games during his seven seasons, though both ended in losses to the Kansas City Chiefs.
Last season, Allen won the 2024 NFL regular-season MVP award, becoming the third Bills player ever to receive that honor, following O.J. Simpson in 1973 and Thurman Thomas in 1991.
This offseason, while Buffalo remains a Super Bowl contender with Allen at quarterback, he has added a new job outside of football. On Wednesday, Allen announced that he is now an equity partner with New Era Cap and will serve as the company’s “Director of Billustration.” He’s worked with New Era since entering the league, but this new deal makes him the first ambassador to receive equity in the brand.
Allen shared the news on his LinkedIn page, writing that while his top priority is still leading the Bills on the field, he’s excited about helping design Bills-themed merchandise for New Era.
“Quarterback for the Buffalo Bills. Farm kid from Firebaugh who got a shot and ran with it. Buffalo believed in me, and I give everything I’ve got back to this team and this great city. I love this game. I love this team. I’m lucky to wear the jersey,” Allen wrote.
“Off the field, I’m the ‘Director of Billustration’ at New Era, which basically means I get to help design Bills gear and have some fun with it. That’s me. Football, family, Buffalo, and some sharp-looking caps.”
Allen’s main focus remains winning a Super Bowl, but fans can look forward to seeing what new designs he brings to Bills merchandise through this unique partnership.
