JUST IN: Leicester Tigers confirm player departures

Lucy Nye, a 28-year-old former England Under-20s and England Sevens player, returns to her hometown after spending the last two seasons with Tigers.

Having played youth rugby for Exeter Saracens and formerly with Wasps, Nye also balances her rugby career with her work in the Royal Air Force Police.

Exeter boss Susie Appleby expressed enthusiasm about Nye’s return, highlighting the benefits of being closer to family, friends, and the beach.

“The RAF is supporting Lucy by allowing her to focus on her rugby career next season,” Appleby noted. “We appreciate their support and eagerly anticipate seeing her development in a full-time environment here at Sandy Park. Lucy brings natural leadership skills and will add healthy competition to the scrum-half position.”
