Hailee Steinfeld is opening up about how marriage to Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen has changed her life in the best way. Nearly four months after their beautiful May 31 wedding in Santa Barbara, California, the actress and singer revealed how she’s found peace, rhythm, and deeper connection through married life.
In a recent Variety interview, Steinfeld described how Allen’s steady football routine has helped her find more balance in her unpredictable world of acting and music. “What we do is so unpredictable, and his job is on such a strict schedule. So it’s actually a blessing — I try to organize my time so I can be where he is,” she said. The actress explained that during football season, she takes time to slow down and enjoy life by his side, while the offseason becomes her moment to fully dive back into work.
“This time of year, I get to hunker down, slow down, support him, and live life,” she said warmly. “When the offseason rolls around, it’s go-time for me.” Steinfeld added that learning to share this rhythm has been transformative. “I’ve never lived this part of life before — outside of my work. I’ve gotten a lot better at understanding what it means to slow down and to share that with someone. That’s the greatest thing ever.”
Steinfeld and Allen first sparked dating rumors in 2023 before confirming their relationship publicly. Since then, they’ve often been seen supporting each other’s careers — from NFL Honors events to movie premieres. Their shared respect and admiration have made them one of entertainment’s most grounded power couples.
Recalling their wedding, Steinfeld said it was everything they had hoped for — intimate, emotional, and full of love. In her Beau Society newsletter, she wrote about the unforgettable weekend, sharing that she and Allen couldn’t stop reminiscing. “Over the past two weeks, random yet very specific memories have been popping back into our heads, and we’ve been blurting them out to each other, often through smiles, laughs, and tears.”
The actress also revealed that before the ceremony, she and Allen shared a quiet breakfast together — a simple, private moment that set the tone for the day. She was later escorted down the aisle by her father, wearing a gown by designer Tamara Ralph. Allen, she said, was “stunned” when he saw her. As the ceremony concluded, the newlyweds walked back down the aisle to Stevie Wonder’s “Signed, Sealed, Delivered (I’m Yours),” just as thunder rumbled across the sky. “No rain, just thunder and lightning. Magical,” she wrote.
Allen shared similar feelings on HBO’s Hard Knocks, calling their wedding “the best night of my life… and my wife’s life, I think,” he said with a laugh.
Now settled into married life, Steinfeld says the experience has given her a new outlook on love, balance, and partnership. “It’s not just about sharing time — it’s about sharing peace,” she reflected. “That’s something I never really understood until now.”
The couple’s bond continues to capture fans’ hearts — a blend of NFL intensity and Hollywood creativity, united by mutual respect and deep affection.
