The Buffalo Bills have been one of the NFL’s most dominant offensive teams through the first month of the 2025 season. They trail only the Dallas Cowboys in total yards but lead the league in rushing, averaging 163.5 yards per game. Despite not yet reaching 1,000 passing yards, the Bills are undefeated at 4-0, with quarterback Josh Allen once again playing at an MVP level.
This Sunday night, Buffalo will host the New England Patriots under the lights in Orchard Park. The Patriots’ defense has been inconsistent—solid at times and shaky at others—but divisional matchups always bring extra intensity. New England is viewed as Buffalo’s toughest AFC East opponent, making this primetime clash a major test.
While Josh Allen will undoubtedly be key, the Bills need other offensive players to rise to the occasion. Tight end Dalton Kincaid has already caught 14 passes for 179 yards and three touchdowns, converting nine first downs. His reliability in crucial moments makes him vital, especially on third downs or in tight fourth-quarter situations.
Running back Ray Davis also needs to make an impact. Though James Cook remains the focal point of Buffalo’s ground game, Davis has struggled in limited action—only 11 carries for 2.6 yards per attempt. When given opportunities, Davis must capitalize to ease the pressure on Cook and maintain the team’s rushing dominance.
Finally, the interior offensive line—David Edwards, Connor McGovern, and O’Cyrus Torrence—must protect the pocket more effectively. After surrendering three sacks last week against the Saints, the group faces a tougher challenge against a disruptive Patriots front. Keeping the pocket stable and giving Allen time to operate will be essential if the Bills want to move to 5-0.
