Stefon Diggs often made headlines during his time with the Buffalo Bills through cryptic social media posts and comments that suggested tension with the team. Now with the New England Patriots, the veteran receiver is presenting a different attitude.
This summer, Diggs apologized after a reporter described him as “a bit of a pain,” explaining that was never his intent. Recently, as the Patriots stumbled to a slow start, Diggs emphasized he isn’t frustrated with his targets or role. Instead, he said he’s focused solely on helping the team win.
Diggs Committed to the Patriots
Through three games, Diggs has caught 13 of 15 passes for 115 yards while playing just over half of the team’s snaps. Some have questioned whether his knee injury from last season still lingers, but Diggs dismissed any talk of dissatisfaction.
“Comparison is the thief of joy,” Diggs said. “I’ll always support my teammates. Even if I want more, I’ll be grateful for what’s in front of me. My focus is on making the most of every opportunity and leaving no crumbs on the plate.”
Diggs, who was traded from Buffalo last year following months of tension, added that his priority is to fulfill whatever role New England asks of him. “I’ve been doing this a long time. I’m healthy, and I’ll do whatever the team needs,” he said.
Former Bills Wideouts Boosting Patriots
Despite the Patriots’ 1-2 start, both Diggs and fellow ex-Bills receiver Mack Hollins have provided value. Hollins, who led Buffalo with seven touchdowns last season, has already recorded one score in 2025 along with six catches for 38 yards.
Diggs will soon face a familiar opponent. New England visits Buffalo on October 5, marking his first return since leaving the Bills. The last time he met his former team—while with the Texans—he posted six catches for 82 yards in a win, while Josh Allen and the Bills’ offense struggled mightily.
