The St. Louis Blues have added two young forwards to their organization, announcing the signings of Justin Carbonneau and Nikita Susuev to three-year, two-way entry-level contracts. General Manager Doug Armstrong confirmed the moves, which bring both recent draft picks into the fold as the club builds toward the future.
Carbonneau, just 18 years old, was the Blues’ first-round pick in the 2025 NHL Draft. He has spent the last three seasons with the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada of the QMJHL, where he established himself as one of the league’s top offensive talents. Standing 6-foot-1 and weighing 192 pounds, Carbonneau led his team with 89 points and 46 goals in 62 games last season, finishing second overall in the league scoring race. His impressive play earned him a spot on the QMJHL First All-Star Team.
Across his junior career, the Quebec native has posted 168 points, including 82 goals and 86 assists, in 162 regular-season games. His scoring touch and physical presence make him a highly anticipated addition to the Blues’ system, with the potential to become a key part of the lineup in the years ahead.
Susuev, 20, was selected by St. Louis in the seventh round of the 2023 draft and has been developing in Russia. In the 2024–25 campaign, he collected 18 points in 42 games while splitting time across different competitions. He has appeared in 55 games in the KHL with Spartak Moskva and Admiral Vladivostok, recording nine points. At the junior level in the MHL, he produced 54 points in 72 games, showcasing his ability to contribute offensively.
By securing both players on entry-level deals, the Blues have reinforced their pipeline with talent at different stages of development. Carbonneau arrives as a highly regarded first-rounder ready to take the next step, while Susuev brings valuable international experience and steady growth from Russia’s top leagues. Together, they represent another investment in the team’s future as St. Louis prepares for the 2025–26 season.
