Welcome back to MetLife Stadium where the Buffalo Bills have come out absolutely firing on all cylinders! They’ve stormed to a 10-0 lead over the New York Jets, and we’ve still got 5:01 remaining here in the first quarter. An absolutely dream start for the visitors.
The Bills’ offense was surgical on that opening possession—Josh Allen moving the chains with ease, connecting with Stefon Diggs for a big gain before capping the drive with a touchdown strike to Dawson Knox. A textbook drive against a reeling Jets defense.
It was a nightmare start for the Jets’ offense, going three-and-out in brutal fashion. The Bills’ defensive front was in the backfield immediately, and the pressure led to a quick punt that gave Buffalo the ball right back in great field position.
That field position led to three more points—a Tyler Bass field goal to extend the lead to 10. The Jets are on their heels early, and this crowd has been taken completely out of the game. All the momentum is wearing blue and red right now.
The Jets take over at their own 25, down two scores with time to respond. But the pressure is already on—another stalled drive here, and this could quickly get out of hand. A massive early test for this Jets offense.
