A Buffalo Bills fan who physically interacted with Baltimore Ravens players DeAndre Hopkins and Lamar Jackson during a Sunday night game has been banned indefinitely from attending games at any NFL stadium. Both the NFL and the Buffalo Bills confirmed the suspension.
The incident occurred when Hopkins and Jackson were celebrating a touchdown in the second half. As they approached the stands, a fan struck Hopkins on the helmet and also made contact with Jackson. In response, Jackson turned and shoved the fan in the chest with both hands. Jackson later acknowledged that he acted out of emotion and said he intends to learn from the experience.
According to reports, the NFL is investigating Jackson’s involvement and has not yet decided whether he will face disciplinary action.
Ravens head coach John Harbaugh stated that he hasn’t been contacted by the league about the incident. He defended Jackson’s actions, noting that players should not have to deal with projectiles or physical interference from fans during celebrations. At the time of the incident, the Ravens were leading 33–19 after Hopkins made a one-handed touchdown catch.
Video clips also circulated online showing Bills fans throwing water bottles near Ravens running back Derrick Henry earlier in the game, further intensifying the conversation around fan behavior.
Despite the controversy, the Bills mounted an impressive comeback, led by quarterback Josh Allen. He threw four touchdown passes and scored 16 unanswered points in the final minutes, ultimately securing a 41–40 victory. After the game, Allen commented on fans leaving early, urging them to have more faith in the team.
