University of Louisville tight end commit Julius Miles delivered a statement performance on opening night in Florida. The Freeport High School star caught four touchdown passes—all in the first half—as the Bulldogs cruised past North Bay Haven Academy, 54-13, on Friday night.
The 6-foot-6, 210-pound standout hauled in seven receptions for 166 yards, scoring on plays of 3, 15, 31, and 54 yards. His longest touchdown came with just over two seconds left in the first half, when he broke four tackles on a tunnel screen and raced 54 yards for the score. With those four touchdowns, Miles now has 19 career receiving TDs, breaking the school’s all-time record.
Miles committed to Louisville in early July, choosing the Cardinals over Syracuse and Florida State. A longtime target for Louisville’s staff, he received his first Power Four offer from the program in June 2024. Since then, his recruitment gained momentum, with additional offers from Florida State, Michigan State, Pittsburgh, Mississippi State, Arizona, Vanderbilt, Colorado, West Virginia, and several others.
This summer, Miles took official visits to Louisville, Syracuse, Colorado, and Vanderbilt, while also making multiple unofficial trips to Florida State. On the field, he’s been highly productive—posting 900 yards and 10 touchdowns on 56 receptions as a junior, and 724 yards with eight scores as a sophomore.
A standout multi-sport athlete, Miles also excelled in basketball, averaging 27.5 points and 10.7 rebounds per game last season, ranking among Florida’s best in Class 3A. According to the 247Sports Composite, he is rated as the No. 505 overall prospect in the nation and the No. 59 player in Florida. He holds an 88 rating, a projection for multi-year Power Four starters with NFL potential.
