Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets continues to prove he’s among the greatest players in NBA history.
Recently released statistics by the Nuggets show just how dominant he’s been: Jokic is the only player in league history to rank in the top two in points, rebounds, assists, and steals across a five-season span. Specifically, he was second in points, first in rebounds, second in assists, and first in steals during that period.
Last season alone, Jokic averaged an impressive 29.6 points, 12.7 rebounds, 10.2 assists, and 1.8 steals per game. He also finished second in MVP voting, marking his fifth consecutive season as a top MVP candidate. Having already won the award three times, many believe he’s still capable of winning it again.
Despite his individual brilliance, the Nuggets experienced a somewhat inconsistent regular season last year, though they did make a playoff push. In response, the team’s front office has made roster changes aimed at improving their performance for the 2025–26 season.
With a stronger supporting cast likely in place, fans are hopeful that Jokic can continue putting up elite numbers and lead the team to greater success.
Regardless of how the season unfolds, Jokic’s place as a future Hall of Famer seems all but guaranteed.
