Josh Allen, quarterback for the Buffalo Bills, is heading into the 2025 NFL season with renewed energy following a meaningful offseason marked by personal and professional growth. Speaking in a recent interview, Allen shared that while he’s been active with hobbies like golf — including a memorable round at Augusta National — the highlight of his summer was marrying actress Hailee Steinfeld. He described the wedding as “the most important part” of his offseason.
Allen and Steinfeld tied the knot in a picturesque outdoor ceremony on May 31 in California, surrounded by family, friends, and several of Allen’s teammates. The couple later shared moments from their honeymoon in a tropical destination, where Allen posted a heartfelt message referring to Hailee as his “wifey.” In private, he says he made a personal promise to her: to not only be the best version of himself on the field but also to be a loving, grounded partner off of it — no matter the highs or lows of the NFL season.
Looking back at last season’s disappointment — a tough loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship — Allen says he’s gained a new perspective. He credits deep conversations with veteran teammates like Von Miller for helping him focus on what truly matters. “Once the ball leaves my hand, I can’t control the rest,” he said. “But I can control how I prepare, how I lead, and how I respond. That’s what I’m carrying into this year — for my team and for my family.”
With training camp approaching, Allen has emphasized the importance of physical preparation and mental wellness. In addition to maintaining a strong diet, he’s also prioritized getting better sleep — something he’s struggled with during past seasons. He believes these adjustments will help him perform at the highest level and stay fully present, both in football and in his marriage. “If I get this right — body and mind — there’s no limit to what I can do for my team and for the people I love,” he said.
Now entering a new chapter of life, Allen is more determined than ever to lead the Bills to success. But above all, he says, he’s committed to building something lasting off the field. “Football won’t last forever,” Allen said. “But the life we’re building together — that’s for keeps. I promised Hailee I’d give my best to that every single day.”
