Josh Allen of the Buffalo Bills is outperforming some of the NFL’s top quarterbacks in a recently released statistic. As the team prepares for the 2025 season, Allen stands out not just as a team leader but as a statistical powerhouse, even without a Super Bowl appearance.
On June 26, Allen was recognized for leading the NFL in total touchdowns over the past three seasons. His performance surpasses that of notable quarterbacks such as Patrick Mahomes (Kansas City Chiefs), Jalen Hurts (Philadelphia Eagles), and Joe Burrow (Cincinnati Bengals), with Allen recording 126 total touchdowns in that span. According to Pro Football Focus (PFF), he leads Hurts by 21 touchdowns, while Mahomes and Burrow are tied behind him.
In the 2024 season alone, Allen threw for 3,731 yards and 28 touchdowns, and also added 531 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns on the ground. His ability to contribute both through the air and on the ground has earned him the reputation of being a “touchdown machine.”
As the Bills prepare for training camp beginning July 23 in Rochester, New York, anticipation is growing. The 2025 season will be Allen’s first full campaign under offensive coordinator Joe Brady. Brady emphasized a fresh start for the offense and the importance of mastering the system from the ground up.
“Josh embodies that mindset. Every year is a new year,” said Brady. “Even with an MVP, he’s eager to be challenged and improve.”
The Bills are looking forward to a re-energized offense and continued strong leadership from Allen as they aim to make a deep postseason run in 2025.
