Winning an NFL MVP award is a major achievement, but for Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen, it’s not the ultimate goal. Despite being named the NFL’s Most Valuable Player for the 2024 season, Allen remains focused on one thing: winning a Super Bowl.
“I still didn’t win a Super Bowl. Didn’t win a ring, and that is the only goal. It’s the only focus that I’ve ever had going into this league,” Allen said.
His honesty reflects his mindset—while individual accolades are meaningful, they pale in comparison to the team’s ultimate success. Allen has established himself as one of the league’s top quarterbacks, posting impressive stats in 2024 with over 3,700 passing yards, 28 touchdowns, and six interceptions, plus 531 rushing yards and 12 rushing touchdowns. He led the Bills to a strong 13-4 record last season.
However, Allen knows that true legacy is defined by reaching and winning the Super Bowl. He added, “The one positive, I will say, about winning an MVP is that it means your team is in a good position. You’re making the playoffs, playing well, and doing whatever you can to help your team win football games.”
While Allen and the Bills have done much to get to this point, the quest continues for that final victory on football’s biggest stage.
