Boston College football officially unveiled its new New Balance uniforms on Wednesday, marking a new era for the program. The Eagles transitioned from Adidas to become New Balance’s first and only Power Conference football partner. The Brighton-based athletic company already outfits all other BC sports teams.
The redesigned uniforms feature several notable changes from previous versions. The classic “block BC” logo now appears on the upper chest, while player numbers have moved to the shoulders. The color scheme shows a darker maroon and gold palette, with modified sleeve striping in both size and color placement.
Head coach Bill O’Brien expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “Our players and staff are thrilled to represent these two iconic brands.” He emphasized how the New Balance collaboration distinguishes BC in collegiate athletics. The program released both a reveal video and still photos showcasing the updated designs.
As the exclusive uniform provider, New Balance brings its performance technology to BC football. The partnership aligns with the program’s rebranding efforts under O’Brien’s leadership and the athletic department’s broader modernization initiatives.
The uniform debut comes as the Eagles prepare for their upcoming season, with players set to wear the new designs in game action for the first time this fall. The change represents both a stylistic and technical upgrade for the program’s on-field appearance.
