“Former Ole Miss and Tulane DB Jadon Canady Heads to the Big Ten, Commits to Oregon for Championship Push!
In a stunning move, veteran defensive back Jadon Canady is leaving the southeast and heading west to join the Oregon Ducks. On Monday, Canady revealed his commitment to play for head coach Dan Lanning, the former elite defensive coordinator under Kirby Smart at Georgia.
Oregon, coming off a heartbreaking loss to Ohio State in the College Football Playoff quarterfinals, is looking to bounce back and fight for a national championship. The Ducks were the only team to enter the CFP undefeated last season, and Canady’s arrival should bolster their defense as they aim for another championship run.
With high expectations and Canady’s talent on the roster, Oregon looks primed to contend for greatness once again!”
“Jadon Canady’s Journey: From Tulane to Ole Miss, Now to Oregon to Strengthen the Ducks’ Defense!
Jadon Canady’s college football journey has taken him from Tulane to Ole Miss, and now, he’s headed to Oregon. After playing in 19 games at Tulane, Canady transferred to Ole Miss, where he truly made a name for himself, starting 11 games last season.
In 2024, Canady had a standout year, posting 38 tackles, 12 pass breakups (PBUs), and 2.5 tackles for loss (TFLs). He opted to sit out the bowl game to focus on finding a new destination, and now, he’s set to bring his experience and skills to the Ducks.
Despite the transfer portal being in its later stages, Oregon has managed to secure a big-time addition in Canady. His SEC experience and impressive 2024 campaign should provide a significant boost to the Ducks’ secondary as they look to make another playoff run.”
