Dorking attacker signed to Southern League

AFC Totton have been active in strengthening their squad ahead of the 2024/25 campaign, securing the signings of Tom Blair and Harvey Rew.

Tom Blair, a former Eastleigh winger, joins from Dorking Wanderers after the expiration of his contract. The 25-year-old impressed with six goals and four assists in 31 Vanarama National League appearances despite Dorking’s relegation. Upon joining AFC Totton, Blair expressed enthusiasm about the professional environment at the club, stating, “It doesn’t feel like dropping down a level because this environment is as professional as you’ll find anywhere in non-league football. I’m really looking forward to it and to getting the new season under way.”

Meanwhile, Harvey Rew, a former defender from Portsmouth, also joins Jimmy Ball’s side. Rew’s acquisition is seen as a significant boost to Totton’s defensive setup, with Ball praising Rew’s talent and potential. Reflecting on Rew’s signing, Ball remarked, “I believe he is one of the best young talents in this league, so once I discovered that there was a genuine possibility of signing him, I was keen to get the deal done as quickly as possible. I’d like to thank Gosport for their cooperation in getting everything sorted out so efficiently. Harvey is keen to come here and play, to prove how good he is, and to kick on in his career. He has bags of potential and I’m really looking forward to seeing him in a Totton shirt.”
