Rugby transfer news: Bath Rugby linked with England ace, Exeter Chiefs centre

The 2024/25 Gallagher Premiership season is rapidly approaching, with clubs nearing the end of their pre-season preparations.

While most teams are finalizing their squads with just five weeks remaining before the new campaign starts, several high-quality free agents are still available, and transfers continue to be made.

Here’s a roundup of the latest transfer rumors, confirmed signings, and contract renewals in English rugby.

Reports indicate that Bath Rugby is interested in signing England international hooker Theo Dan.

At 23, Dan is currently playing second string to Jamie George for both his club and country.

Last season, Dan, a bronze medalist at the World Cup, made 38 appearances and scored ten tries. He debuted in the Premiership Rugby Cup against Harlequins in November 2021.

With experience from his time at Bishop’s Stortford and Ampthill, and having been a backup to Jamie George at Saracens and for England, Dan is now ready to step out of George’s shadow.
