JUST IN: Ayr United Man Departs Somerset Park on loan

The club is pleased to announce the signing of Andy Murdoch on loan from Ayr United until January.

Murdoch, 29, began his career at Rangers, making over 20 first-team appearances before joining Greenock Morton in September 2016. After two seasons at Cappielow, he was signed by Ian McCall for Ayr United, where he has since made over 150 appearances for The Honest Men.

Andy goes straight into the squad for today’s match against Forfar Athletic.

The Clyde boss commented: “Andy is a proven Championship-level player, and his signing comes at a good time as we’re currently short on midfielders due to injuries to Barry Cuddihy and Darren Lyon. Although he hasn’t played football in the past year due to an injury, he’s ready to go again now. I know how much quality he has, having signed him for Ayr. He’s also a very good character who will fit right in with the rest of the squad.”

Andy will wear the number 27 shirt for The Bully Wee.
