The center-back joins Halifax after departing from Sheffield Wednesday, where he had been since 2022.
During his time with Wednesday, he was a regular in the under-21 team and made his senior debut in a 1-0 FA Cup defeat at Fleetwood in February last year.
He joins Tom Pugh and Will Smith as the latest signings for Town this summer.

Chris Millington described Town’s opening pre-season friendly at Hyde as a worthwhile experience. The Shaymen were defeated 2-1, with Aaron Cosgrave’s equalizer ten minutes from the end being canceled out late on.
“We’ve given 90 minutes to a lot of players, including younger lads stepping up from loans last year,” Millington said. “We’ve also had a chance to look at some of the trialists.
“While I never enjoy losing, it was a rewarding evening in other respects. We saw strong performances from Will Smith, and Adam Adetoro, who hasn’t even trained with the team yet, showed a glimpse of what a good player he can be for us.”
“Tom Pugh showed brilliance in flashes, and Aaron Cosgrave worked tirelessly up front. Overall, it was a really valuable experience,” said Millington.
He added, “We probably had the upper hand in the first 15-20 minutes, but then it became more balanced. The key difference was that they capitalized on their chances during their strong spells, which is something we need to carry into the season.
“Tonight’s performance isn’t a concern because we had a makeshift team that wasn’t familiar with each other, coming together for a one-off occasion. Last season, we had strong spells in games, like against Ebbsfleet at Accy Stanley where we dominated but didn’t convert our chances. Hyde did well to score during their dominant phases, but I’m not worried about tonight’s game since we had other objectives to achieve.”
Several first-team players were absent, with the team fielding four trialists and an inexperienced bench. “We planned our pre-season to get to know the new signings better. We do extensive research on who we sign, but we wanted them to get early match experience. We also looked at a couple of trialists and gave Ted Lavelle and Frankie Sinfield a chance to stake their claim for a first-team place, which they did tonight.”
Regarding the latest signing, 21-year-old, 6ft 4in center-back Adam Alimi-Adetoro, Millington said, “He’s a very exciting left-footed center half, good on the ball, excellent in one-on-one situations, and dominates aerially. He was close to breaking into Sheffield Wednesday’s first team but didn’t quite make it. We’re fortunate to have secured his services and are excited to see him develop at The Shay. We believe he has the potential to become a fantastic footballer.”
On goalscorer Cosgrave, Millington commented, “It’s highly competitive up front. We have strong players in that area, and it’s going to be a tough competition. Aaron performed well tonight. We’ll also evaluate Jamie Cooke and Adan George over the weekend and into next week, and we might have another player coming in. It’s about who can be most effective in and around the box while managing the heavy workload our number nines have to handle.”
