As the NFL draft approaches in April, Texas A&M wide receiver KC Concepcion has drawn significant attention from multiple teams. Following a previously reported visit with the Miami Dolphins, the 21-year-old is now scheduled to meet with the Los Angeles Chargers, Buffalo Bills, and New England Patriots, according to reports from Ryan Fowler and Mike Giardi.
Concepcion began his college career at NC State, where he made an immediate impact as a true freshman in 2023. At 5-foot-11 and 190 pounds, he recorded 71 catches for 839 yards and 10 touchdowns over 13 games, adding 320 rushing yards on 41 carries. That performance earned him ACC Rookie of the Year honors and a second-team all-conference selection.
His production dipped in his second season, with 53 receptions for 460 yards and six touchdowns, along with just 36 rushing yards on 19 attempts.
Looking to expand his role beyond the slot position he primarily played at NC State, Concepcion transferred to Texas A&M. The move paid off, as he earned consensus All-America and All-SEC honors in his lone season with the Aggies. While still seeing time in the slot, he also worked on the outside and contributed heavily on special teams. He finished with 61 catches for a career-high 919 yards and nine touchdowns—the most in the SEC—along with 75 rushing yards and another score on 10 carries. As a punt returner, he averaged 18.2 yards per return and brought two back for touchdowns.
The Chargers, Bills, and Patriots all hold picks near the end of the first round—Nos. 22, 26, and 31 respectively—where Concepcion could be selected. All three teams have also been mentioned as potential suitors for Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown, though no trade has materialized and any deal may not happen until after the draft.
Los Angeles currently has Ladd McConkey, Quentin Johnston, and Tre Harris under contract, though Johnston is entering the final year of his rookie deal. Buffalo added D.J. Moore earlier this month but lacks proven depth behind him and slot receiver Khalil Shakir. New England signed Romeo Doubs to a four-year, $68 million contract in free agency but released Stefon Diggs, their top wideout from last season. The Patriots’ current receiving corps includes Doubs, Mack Hollins, Kayshon Boutte, DeMario Douglas, and Kyle Williams.
