Both the Pittsburgh Steelers and Buffalo Bills are reportedly looking to acquire a wide receiver before the NFL’s trade deadline.
According to a report, both teams have expressed interest in Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Jakobi Meyers. However, the Raiders have set a high asking price for him. The report also notes that the Steelers are considering other wide receiver options.
Meyers reportedly requested a trade from the Raiders during the offseason after not receiving a contract extension and has confirmed that his desire to be traded has not changed. With Meyers unhappy and set to become a free agent in 2026, the Raiders may be motivated to trade him rather than lose him for nothing. It is expected that the Raiders’ high asking price could lower as the November 4th trade deadline approaches.
While not a primary number-one receiver, Meyers is considered a strong second option. He has surpassed 800 receiving yards four times in his career and recorded over 1,000 yards in 2024 despite inconsistent quarterback play. Through six games in the 2025 season, he has 329 receiving yards.
A move to either Buffalo or Pittsburgh could benefit Meyers, as he would be catching passes from top-tier quarterbacks like Josh Allen or Aaron Rodgers, the best he would have played with since his time with Tom Brady in New England. For the Bills and Steelers, acquiring Meyers would represent a significant upgrade to their offensive units.
