Ohio Offensive Lineman Pete Eglitis Schedules Official Visit to Louisville
Pete Eglitis, a 6-foot-7, 270-pound offensive tackle from Columbus, Ohio, has scheduled an official visit to the University of Louisville for the weekend of May 30. The visit follows a previous spring trip to campus and comes as Louisville and Iowa State emerge as his top two choices.
Eglitis, a standout from Bishop Watterson High School, said both programs appeal to him because of their strong coaching staffs and program stability. He’s also planning an official visit to Iowa State the following weekend and a trip to Pittsburgh on June 21.
Last season, Eglitis helped lead Bishop Watterson to an undefeated 16-0 season and a state championship. He earned first-team All-District and All-Ohio honors for his performance on the field.
Rated as a three-star recruit by 247Sports, Eglitis is ranked No. 138 among offensive tackles nationally and No. 92 overall in Ohio. His offer list includes schools such as Kentucky, Missouri, Wake Forest, Georgia Tech, Liberty, Marshall, and Miami (Ohio), among others.
