Dallas Cowboys fullback Hunter Luepke is proving his value with a versatile skill set as the team adjusts to new offensive schemes under head coach Brian Schottenheimer. With Organized Team Activities (OTAs) underway, Luepke is drawing attention for his ability to contribute in multiple roles—lining up at running back, fullback, and even tight end.
Schottenheimer spoke highly of Luepke’s adaptability, noting that he consistently performs well regardless of where he’s placed on the field. “He’s doing a bit of everything, and doing it all well,” Schottenheimer told reporters.
In the 2024 season, Luepke had limited snaps but still managed to gain 38 rushing yards at 3.2 yards per carry and added 111 receiving yards on 12 catches. His impact as a blocker also enhances his value to the team, particularly as the Cowboys evaluate a newly reshaped running back group.
As the team continues to refine its offense, Luepke is expected to carve out a unique and valuable role. His versatility and willingness to contribute in any capacity make him a strong asset as Dallas builds toward the upcoming season.
