Buffalo Bills Recognized as Big Winners in 2025 NFL Schedule Release
The 2025 NFL schedule was officially revealed on Wednesday night, bringing the league one step closer to the start of the season. The season opener will take place on Thursday, September 7, with the Philadelphia Eagles hosting the Dallas Cowboys. On Sunday Night Football, the spotlight shifts to Orchard Park as the Buffalo Bills take on the Baltimore Ravens.
Buffalo’s schedule this year is highly favorable. They begin and end the regular season at home—opening against Baltimore and closing against the New York Jets. They won’t play on any holidays and have five primetime games, three of which are in front of their home crowd. Additionally, the team avoids any particularly punishing stretches of consecutive difficult matchups.
Although the schedule appears to be one of the more manageable ones across the league, the Bills still have to take each opponent seriously. Games aren’t won on paper, and any team could pull off a surprise, whether in Buffalo or on the road. Consistent preparation and execution will be key.
National analysts have taken note of the Bills’ advantageous setup. Gary Davenport of Bleacher Report listed Buffalo as one of the biggest winners in this year’s schedule release. He pointed out that, among all teams that made the playoffs last season, Buffalo faces the weakest combined opponents’ win percentage at .467. Additionally, they have the second-lowest travel distance in the NFL, crossing only two time zones all year.
Davenport noted that while the season opener against the Ravens is a tough challenge, the Bills’ strong home-field advantage could help them start the year with a win. If they succeed, it’s possible they could reach their Week 7 bye week undefeated.
As fans await kickoff, the excitement is building for what could be a special season—especially as it marks the final year in the Bills’ current stadium. Week 1 will be here before long, and Buffalo will be looking to capitalize on a schedule that’s set up in their favor.
