Buffalo Bills Projected to Dominate AFC East in 2025
Since Tom Brady’s departure from the New England Patriots in 2020, the Buffalo Bills have established themselves as the dominant force in the AFC East, winning five straight division titles. Quarterback Josh Allen has led the charge with an impressive 24-6 record against division rivals during that time.
Looking ahead to the 2025 season, expectations remain high for Buffalo. The team strengthened its defensive front and added wide receiver Josh Palmer, giving Allen another target and potentially improving an already strong roster.
While other teams in the division made moves—most notably the Patriots, who made significant additions to support rookie quarterback Drake Maye—the Bills are still considered the top team. The Dolphins continue to struggle in cold-weather games, and the Jets remain unpredictable, making Buffalo the most stable and complete team in the division.
According to Matt Verderame of Sports Illustrated, the Bills still possess the strongest roster in the AFC East by a wide margin. “The Bills have been the standard of the division for the last five years, and there’s no reason to think that won’t be the case again next season,” he said.
In 2024, Buffalo clinched the division early in the season. That might not happen again, but they are clearly the front-runners heading into 2025. Despite potential improvements by their rivals, the AFC East still runs through Buffalo, which is viewed as one of the most complete teams in the NFL.
