Dalton Kincaid Faces Crucial 2025 Season With Bills
Dalton Kincaid, a former first-round pick, is entering a pivotal year with the Buffalo Bills. While playing alongside MVP quarterback Josh Allen should be a significant advantage for any receiver, Kincaid hasn’t met expectations after a promising rookie season.
In 2024, his performance declined noticeably. Although he was second in team targets behind wide receiver Khalil Shakir, he only managed 44 receptions for 448 yards and two touchdowns. NFL reporter Ronnie Eastham described the upcoming 2025 season as “make-or-break” for Kincaid.
Eastham explained that Kincaid set rookie records in 2023 and was expected to build on that success, but his lack of progress last season has raised concerns. If he doesn’t show improvement this year, he could potentially be on the chopping block in 2026—even though he’s still under his rookie contract, making that scenario unlikely but not impossible.
One issue raised is that Kincaid hasn’t physically developed as the team hoped during the offseason, with reports suggesting he looks the same as last year. However, there’s still time before the 2025 season kicks off, giving him a chance to prepare and make the necessary adjustments.
Ultimately, the focus will likely shift to whether the Bills decide to extend his contract, rather than whether they cut him.
