Baltimore Ravens Eyeing Possible Reunion with Jadeveon Clowney
With the 2025 NFL Draft now complete, the Baltimore Ravens have most of their roster in place. However, General Manager Eric DeCosta may still be exploring ways to strengthen the team in hopes of making a serious Super Bowl run.
One potential option is veteran pass rusher Jadeveon Clowney, who was recently released by the Carolina Panthers. His departure comes after the team added Patrick Jones through free agency and selected Nic Scourton in the second round of the draft.
Although Clowney only just became available, Fox Sports NFL insider Jordan Schultz has already floated the idea of a possible return to Baltimore. Schultz noted that Clowney could be a prime candidate for a late-offseason signing by the Ravens, highlighting the player’s success during his 2023 season in Baltimore, where he recorded 9.5 sacks.
At 32, Clowney remains a capable edge rusher with 58 career sacks and three Pro Bowl selections over 11 seasons. After notching 5.5 sacks last year in Carolina, he may still have productive years ahead—and a reunion with the Ravens could be mutually beneficial.
It’s also possible that Clowney’s release was influenced by his desire to join a more competitive team. Baltimore, consistently in the playoff mix, could offer the kind of opportunity Clowney is looking for as he chases a Super Bowl title.
