Analyst Recommends Bills Pursue Keenan Allen to Bolster Super Bowl Hopes
The Buffalo Bills fell just short of reaching the Super Bowl last season, losing to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game. One of the key shortcomings for Buffalo was a lack of depth at wide receiver for star quarterback and reigning NFL MVP, Josh Allen.
Khalil Shakir led the team’s receiving corps in 2024, finishing the season with 76 receptions for 821 yards and four touchdowns over 15 games. While solid, these numbers are below what teams typically expect from a top-tier receiver.
NFL analyst Tyler Sullivan of CBS Sports suggests that the Bills should consider signing veteran wide receiver Keenan Allen, formerly of the Chicago Bears. Allen, a six-time Pro Bowler, could immediately contribute in Buffalo’s high-powered offense and form a strong connection with Josh Allen.
Though Allen is coming off a modest season — recording 70 catches for 744 yards and seven touchdowns — he would still represent a clear upgrade. His production would have placed him ahead of rookie Keon Coleman, who had 29 receptions for 556 yards and four scores.
Adding a proven talent like Allen, who has surpassed 1,000 receiving yards in seven different seasons, could significantly improve Buffalo’s offensive potential. His presence would give Josh Allen a reliable veteran target and strengthen the Bills’ chances of finally overcoming the Chiefs in their pursuit of a Super Bowl title.
