Landon Jackson is heading to the Buffalo Bills, where he’ll join forces with Josh Allen to compete in the AFC East. Buffalo picked the former Arkansas defensive end with the 72nd overall selection in the third round of the NFL Draft. Interestingly, this came just two picks after his Arkansas teammate, Isaac TeSlaa, was selected by the Detroit Lions.
The Bills are known for their strong defensive front, and Jackson’s addition could make it even more formidable. He’ll now line up with experienced pros like Joey Bosa and Greg Rousseau, who together bring over a decade of NFL experience. Despite Josh Allen’s consistent playoff performances, the team is still chasing its first Super Bowl appearance.
Over three seasons with the Razorbacks, Jackson developed into one of the top edge rushers in the SEC. He played in 37 games, tallying 116 total tackles, 26.5 for loss, and 16 sacks. His resume also includes two forced fumbles and five pass breakups.
Jackson caught national attention in 2023 with a standout performance against Alabama. Even though Arkansas narrowly lost 24–21, Jackson dominated with 3.5 sacks and 7.5 total tackles, putting him firmly on the radar of NFL scouts.
Although he was named to the preseason All-SEC team, Jackson had a slow start in 2024 with just 11 tackles and no sacks through four games. But he bounced back strong versus Texas A&M, posting eight tackles, three tackles for loss, and two sacks. His athleticism stood out at the NFL Combine, where he led all edge rushers in vertical jump and placed second in the broad jump.
