Lil Wayne Drops ‘Carter VI’-Themed Green Bay Packers Collection with Mitchell & Ness
Lil Wayne has partnered with Mitchell & Ness to release a special Green Bay Packers-inspired merch line tied to his upcoming album Tha Carter VI. The limited-edition collection includes t-shirts, hoodies, and a custom jersey.
Explaining the vision, Wayne said: “We had to create something that reps the G but still drips with that Tunechi flavor. It’s more than merch — it’s about legacy, loyalty, and a touch of luxury for the real fans.”
Earlier in the week, Wayne revealed the official cover for Tha Carter VI, which nods to previous entries in the series. The artwork features a baby version of Wayne with his signature face tattoos, reminiscent of Tha Carter III and IV. Alongside the album visuals, he launched themed merchandise, including vinyls, CDs (some autographed), and apparel.
Set for release on June 6, Tha Carter VI boasts a diverse and star-studded lineup. Confirmed features include Miley Cyrus, Bono from U2, opera singer Andrea Bocelli, Machine Gun Kelly, dancehall icon Elephant Man, and Wayne’s teenage son Kameron. Production credits include Wyclef Jean, Wheezy, and possibly Kanye West.
Wyclef is reportedly playing a major role in the project’s creative direction and has started an informal group with Wayne called The Gumbo, featuring New Orleans artists Jon Batiste, Ledisi, Trombone Shorty, and PJ Morton.
Discussing the album, Wayne said: “This time around, I wanted to try something different — thinking about what I’d sound like next to these artists.”
