Sauce Gardner Responds to Hailee Steinfeld’s Scene in New Movie
Although they play for rival NFL teams, Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen and New York Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner share a close friendship. That bond was evident when Gardner posted on social media that he won’t watch the new film Sinners, which stars Allen’s fiancée, Hailee Steinfeld.
The movie, which features a scene between Steinfeld and actor Michael B. Jordan, has drawn attention. Gardner wrote on X (formerly Twitter): “Out of respect for my dawg Josh, I will not be going to see Sinners,” adding a laughing emoji to the post.
Despite the scene gaining publicity, Allen has been fully supportive of Steinfeld’s role and has encouraged fans to watch the movie. He described attending the film’s premiere as “awesome” and a “very cool experience,” and praised Steinfeld’s performance.
“I’m so excited for her and so proud of her,” Allen said. “It’s getting great reviews… go watch it!”
The couple got engaged last November during a romantic coastal getaway. Allen, recently named the NFL MVP, has frequently been supported by Steinfeld at his games. He also attended the Sinners premiere in Mexico City earlier this month.
In an earlier interview, Steinfeld called Allen “the man of my dreams” and described his proposal as “the most perfect” she could have imagined.
As for football, Allen is expected to be closely following the first round of the NFL Draft, where the Bills hold the 30th overall pick—unless a last-minute trade changes things.
