
Wide Receiver Dacari Collins Signs with Louisville
Wide receiver Dacari Collins has officially joined the University of Louisville football team, as announced by head coach Jeff Brohm.
Collins arrives with experience from both Clemson and NC State, having played four seasons in the Atlantic Coast Conference. Over that time, he totaled 55 receptions for 755 yards and four touchdowns.
During his junior year at NC State in 2024, Collins started every game he appeared in and posted career highs with 24 catches and 314 yards. He recorded his first touchdown of the season against California and closed the year with a three-catch, 62-yard performance against North Carolina.
Collins, a native of Atlanta, transferred from Clemson to NC State before the 2023 season. That year, he registered 14 receptions for 221 yards and two touchdowns, including a three-catch, 46-yard, one-touchdown outing in the season finale versus UNC. Notably, nine of his 14 catches came in the final four games.
Earlier in his college career, Collins played 12 games for Clemson. As a freshman in 2021, he appeared in nine contests with three starts, collecting 16 catches for 221 yards. His standout game came against UConn, where he had six receptions for 97 yards. He also led the team in receiving yards in games against South Carolina and Iowa State.
Before college, Collins starred at Westlake High School, where he tallied 109 receptions for 1,990 yards and 20 touchdowns across 37 games, averaging 18.3 yards per catch. He ended his high school career with 23 consecutive games with a reception and earned a spot in the Under Armour All-America Game after an impressive senior season with 842 yards and eight touchdowns.
