Hailee Steinfeld & Josh Allen’s Relationship Timeline: From First Dates to a Beach Proposal
Hailee Steinfeld, star of Sinners, may play a vampire in her latest film, but her real-life romance with NFL quarterback Josh Allen is far from spooky—it’s all love. The couple got engaged in November 2024 and have since become one of football’s most talked-about duos.
Steinfeld recently spoke with Jimmy Fallon about life in Buffalo, New York, saying, “I have been given a very warm welcome. The people are incredible. It’s such a wonderful, wonderful place. I love it so much.”
While they keep most of their relationship private, here’s a look at some of their major moments together:
May 2023: First Public Outing
The two were first seen together in New York City in May 2023. Reports at the time described the relationship as new and lighthearted.
September 2023: Meeting the Family
Early in the 2023 NFL season, Steinfeld was seen out with Allen’s mother, Lavonne, during a visit to a Bills-themed shop in Buffalo.
July 2024: Going Instagram Official
The couple made their relationship public on social media when Allen posted a photo set in July that included a romantic snapshot from a trip to Paris.
November 2024: A Beachside Proposal
On November 22, Allen proposed on a beach in Malibu, a place Steinfeld described as her “happy place.” She later said the moment was “magical.”
February 2025: Red Carpet Debut
Although they had been dating for almost two years, their first red carpet appearance wasn’t until the 2025 NFL Honors, where Allen received the MVP award. He shared that Steinfeld helped him pick out his outfit for the big night.
That same month, Steinfeld talked about valuing the private parts of their relationship: “When you realize that so much is already out there in every other aspect of your life, you really learn to cherish the little that isn’t.”
March 2025: Wedding Talk?
While promoting Sinners, Steinfeld was asked about wedding planning. She explained that she’s currently focused on her film’s press tour and isn’t rushing into planning just yet.
