Tre’Davious White is officially returning to the Buffalo Bills, the team that originally drafted him in the first round back in 2017. The veteran cornerback has agreed to a one-year deal worth up to $6.8 million, marking a homecoming after spending time away from the franchise last season.
After his initial seven-year stint in Buffalo, White signed with the Los Angeles Rams in the 2024 offseason. Though he began the year as their top cornerback, he was benched as a healthy scratch by Week 5. He didn’t see the field again until he was traded to the Baltimore Ravens in early November.
Throughout his NFL career, White has appeared in 93 games with the Bills, Rams, and Ravens. He has recorded 333 tackles, 73 pass breakups, and 18 interceptions. His most impressive seasons came early with Buffalo, earning All-Pro and Pro Bowl honors in 2019 and 2020, and finishing second in Defensive Rookie of the Year voting in 2017.
White returns to a Buffalo defense that struggled in pass coverage last season. The Bills ranked 24th in the NFL against the pass, giving up an average of 226.1 yards per game. His experience and playmaking ability could help solidify a secondary that underperformed in 2024.
This signing represents more than just a roster move for the Bills—it’s a chance to bring veteran leadership back into the locker room and shore up a key area of weakness. If White can stay healthy and regain form, he could play a vital role in Buffalo’s 2025 playoff push.
