Louisville Extends Offer to 2027 Edge Rusher Desmond Malpress
Louisville football has offered a scholarship to Desmond Malpress, a promising edge rusher in the 2027 class. The Jacksonville, Florida, standout from Atlantic Coast High School now holds two Power 4 offers, with Syracuse being the first.
At 6-foot-3 and 205 pounds, Malpress has also received offers from several Group of 5 programs, including Bowling Green, Middle Tennessee, Florida Atlantic, USF, Western Kentucky, FIU, and Bethune-Cookman.
While Louisville continues to finalize its 2026 recruiting class, the program is also actively evaluating top prospects for 2027. Malpress is among the early targets for the Cardinals in the next cycle.
The young defensive end expressed excitement about the offer, marking another step in his emerging recruitment. As more schools evaluate his film, additional Power 4 interest could follow.
