The Buffalo Bills are exploring options to fill a vacancy in their secondary, potentially targeting one of the top cornerbacks in the 2025 NFL Draft. Shavon Revel Jr., a cornerback from East Carolina, is set for a pre-draft visit with the Bills next week. Revel, once considered a top draft prospect, suffered a torn ACL last season but could be available for the Bills with the 30th overall pick.
The Bills recently signed cornerback Christian Benford to a four-year contract extension, but they still need additional help at cornerback after 15-game starter Rasul Douglas became a free agent. Revel could be a strong candidate to fill this role, as NFL.com analyst Lance Zierlein praised his potential, noting his ideal length, vision in zone coverage, and ability to improve with experience.
The Bills have not selected a cornerback in the first round since 2022, when they took Kaiir Elam, though that pick did not work out as expected. They might move up or down in the draft to land Revel, with NFL.com projecting him as the 52nd overall pick. Additionally, the team is also hosting a pre-draft visit with Ole Miss cornerback Trey Amos, who earned All-SEC honors last season.
Buffalo also has other needs to address, including depth in the pass-rushing group, which could be a priority for their first-round pick. While the Bills are considering all options, they have not ruled out re-signing Douglas, with general manager Brandon Beane confirming that the team is still monitoring his status.
