Clemson University has announced a groundbreaking partnership with eleven-x® to launch what will be the largest university smart parking initiative in North America. Eleven-x, a global leader in smart parking and curbside management solutions, will implement its award-winning eXactpark™ platform across Clemson’s campus. This cutting-edge system will provide real-time guidance and wayfinding, allowing students, faculty, and staff to easily find available parking spots. The goal is to enhance the parking experience for the university’s 29,000 students and faculty members, making it more efficient and user-friendly.
The smart parking system will be powered by wireless sensors installed in individual parking spots throughout the campus. These sensors will continuously gather and transmit data, ensuring 24/7/365 tracking of parking space availability. In addition to these sensors, Clemson University will install more than 40 digital signs at strategic locations around campus. These signs will guide drivers to open parking spaces, significantly improving the flow of traffic and reducing the time spent searching for a spot.
