Buffalo Bills Interested in Fast Wide Receiver to Support Josh Allen
The Buffalo Bills are looking to strengthen their wide receiver corps to better support quarterback Josh Allen. While they added Joshua Palmer in free agency, his role will primarily be to replace Mack Hollins, who signed with the New England Patriots after being a key contributor to the Bills’ offense in 2024. Despite this move, Buffalo still needs to improve its offensive weapons to take the next step.
The Bills are now linked to another promising wide receiver: Isaiah Bond from Texas. According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, Buffalo is one of several teams planning to meet with Bond in the near future. Bond, known for his speed, could add a dynamic element to the offense, offering Allen a potential deep threat. At the NFL combine, Bond clocked a 4.39-second 40-yard dash, showcasing impressive speed, although he had hoped for a better time.
During the 2024 college season at Texas, Bond’s stats were below expectations, with 34 catches for 540 yards and five touchdowns. Despite the modest numbers, Bond’s explosive playmaking ability stands out. He can stretch the field with deep routes or excel in catch-and-run situations. Buffalo could utilize him in a variety of ways to diversify their offensive attack.
Bond is currently compared to Jaylen Waddle in terms of playing style and is expected to be a third-round pick in the upcoming draft.
