Baylor freshmen Jason Asemota and Omar Adegbola have entered the transfer portal, following redshirt junior guard Langston Love, who made the same decision on Monday. Asemota, a four-star freshman forward, played limited minutes in his first year, appearing in 24 games and averaging 1.6 points and 1.5 rebounds in 6.2 minutes per game. Despite being a highly touted recruit from Lynn, Massachusetts, he struggled to secure consistent playing time, even amid the team’s injury challenges.
Adegbola, who joined the team as a walk-on in 2023-24 and was given a scholarship for the 2024-25 season, appeared in just 11 games, never playing more than five minutes. He averaged 1.1 points in 2.1 minutes per game. A Houston native and former Montverde Academy standout, Adegbola averaged 24.6 points per game during his senior year of high school. Both players have three years of eligibility remaining.
With Asemota, Adegbola, and Love now in the portal, only four players who saw playing time during the 2024-25 season—Robert Wright III, Jalen Celestine, Marino Dubravcic, and Josh Ojianwuna—remain on the roster.
