Clemson basketball is reportedly showing interest in Jalen Jackson, a standout guard from IPFW and an All-Horizon League first-team selection. Jackson, who had an impressive season as a junior, is drawing attention from multiple schools, including Clemson.
Jackson’s stats for the season were outstanding, averaging 19.2 points, 4.4 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 1.6 steals per game while shooting 48% from the field and 75% from the free-throw line. His 3-point shooting dipped to 26%, down from 41% the previous season. The Fort Wayne, Indiana, native also won the Horizon League Sportsmanship Award, showing his character both on and off the court.
Clemson is one of several schools that have contacted Jackson, along with Michigan, Tennessee, Butler, Notre Dame, and others. The Tigers are seeking to bolster their roster, especially in the guard position, following the departure of three guards this offseason, including Jaeden Zackery, who is exploring an additional year of eligibility.
Jackson’s potential fit at Clemson could be strong, as he would help fill the gap left by Chase Hunter and Del Jones. It seems that Clemson, led by Brad Brownell, has a good chance of landing Jackson.
