The Dallas Cowboys have been active this offseason, making several key moves to strengthen their roster after missing the playoffs last year. Some of their notable acquisitions include re-signing Osa Odighizuwa, signing running backs Javonte Williams and Miles Sanders, adding pass rusher Dante Fowler Jr., and trading for linebacker Kenneth Murray Jr. from the Tennessee Titans. As the NFL draft approaches, the Cowboys are looking to add more talent to their team.
Even after signing Williams and Sanders, Dallas may still target a long-term running back to help support quarterback Dak Prescott. A recent four-round mock draft from Chad Reuter of NFL.com predicts the Cowboys will select Ohio State running back TreVeyon Henderson in the second round at No. 51 overall. Henderson played a major role in the Buckeyes’ national championship win during the 2024 college football season, rushing for 1,016 yards and 10 touchdowns. Throughout his four-year career at Ohio State, he totaled 3,761 rushing yards, 42 touchdowns, 853 receiving yards, and six touchdowns. Adding Henderson would bring a dynamic playmaker to the Cowboys’ offense, with some comparing his style to NFL star Aaron Jones.
