The Buffalo Bills recognize the importance of having an experienced wide receiver to support their championship aspirations. During the early years of quarterback Josh Allen’s tenure, the team relied heavily on Stefon Diggs. However, after trading Diggs, the Bills have been searching for a replacement to match his production.
Their current receiving group consists of Kahlil Shakir, rookie Keon Coleman, and recently signed Joshua Palmer. While solid, adding a proven veteran could elevate the unit—especially with MVP quarterback Josh Allen leading the offense.
A potential solution is free agent Keenan Allen. At 32 years old, he is looking to join a contender after playing in just five playoff games throughout his 12-year career. According to Yardbarker’s Bruce Ewing, Allen would be an ideal fit for Buffalo, providing them with a reliable option to bolster their passing attack. Despite missing 16 games over the past five seasons, his projected 17-game average of 1,245 yards and seven touchdowns would be a significant boost for a team that lacked a 1,000-yard receiver last season.
Though past his prime, Allen can still contribute in a more limited role. The Bills could provide the right environment for him to thrive while maximizing his experience. With AFC rivals like the Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens strengthening their rosters, Buffalo may need all the help they can get to remain competitive.
