The Milwaukee Bucks have been engaged in trade discussions recently as they look to strengthen their roster, with Toronto Raptors swingman Bruce Brown emerging as a key trade target.
Brown is a more affordable option compared to stars like Zach LaVine of the Chicago Bulls and Bradley Beal of the Phoenix Suns, and his all-around game could add more balance to the Milwaukee Bucks’ lineup.
As Eddie Bitar of Fadeaway World puts it, “Bruce Brown might not have the star power of the others, but his championship experience and versatility make him a valuable target.”
“Brown is the type of two-way wing that every contender desires—when he’s healthy, of course. Adding him to Milwaukee’s rotation, potentially at the expense of Khris Middleton, could create a more well-rounded lineup,” he concluded.
Currently, the Milwaukee Bucks depend significantly on Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard to generate offense, with Khris Middleton serving as the third option off the bench. However, Middleton has struggled with consistency since coming back from offseason ankle surgery, and he’s earning around $31.7 million this season.
Bruce Brown is making $23 million this season, but with his contract set to expire, the Bucks would likely need to bundle several players on mid-level contracts to make a trade work.
So far this season, Brown has played 13 games for the Toronto Raptors, averaging 9.1 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game, while shooting 46.0% from the field.
