The Green Bay Packers’ passing game didn’t quite spark as expected in 2024. Jordan Love wrapped up the season with 3,300 yards and 25 touchdowns, despite missing nearly three games (two due to injury and sitting out most of the Week 18 matchup against the Bears). While those numbers are solid, they fall right in the middle of the pack.
Boosting the offense could be a top priority this off-season, and one name is quickly gaining buzz as a potential addition.
As the offseason approaches, Green Bay will be focusing on researching available wide receivers:
Elic Ayomanor, Stanford
Elic Ayomanor is expected to be a Day 2 pick, which lines up perfectly for the Packers, as it would allow them to prioritize defense in the first round.
Standing at 6-foot-2, Ayomanor is better suited as an outside receiver, filling a more pressing need for Green Bay compared to someone like Egbuka. Watching his highlights, it’s easy to draw comparisons to Packers legend Jordy Nelson. Ayomanor excels as a natural route runner, combining power and speed effortlessly.
As for his fit with the Packers, Ayomanor brings more than just skill as a receiver. He’s a willing blocker who will fight to win at the point of attack, using his size and tenacity to make an impact. With his well-rounded game, Ayomanor would be a strong Day 2 pick for Green Bay.
